Snowplowing/Snow Removal Superior National Forest Isabella Work Station

Background
The contract is for snow removal services at the Isabella Work Station Administrative Site, located at 3989 Forest Service Drive, Isabella, MN 55607. The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) requires snow removal of all parking lots, roadways, and drives to garages and employee housing units, with an option for shoveling paved walkways to the administrative offices. The contractor is expected to provide all labor, supervision, fuel, and equipment necessary to perform the services in accordance with the requirements for snowplowing. Prospective contractors are encouraged to visit the work site(s) prior to submitting a price quote.

Work Details
The technical requirements/tasks include plowing of parking lots and roadways after any snowfall over one inch at the Tofte and Gunflint Ranger Stations. Additional plowings may be requested as needed due to wind events or multiple small snowfalls. The areas to be plowed include the Isabella-Access Road from MN#1 into the warehouses and all parking areas in and around the warehouses. Plowing should be substantially complete by 6:00 am to avoid impacting employees showing up for work.
Snow should be pushed fully outside the shoulder line of lots and drives. Weekend plowing will not be required unless requested.
Sidewalk shoveling shall be required after any snowfall over one inch, with concrete sidewalks cleared down to concrete when shoveled.
Deliverables include submitting invoices once monthly in IPP, keeping parking lots, drives, roadways, and warehouse entrances clear of snow, and plowing snow after any snowfall exceeding 1 inch depth.
