Snowmobile Rental

Background
The Marine Corps is seeking to rent snowmobile machines and tow behind sleds to support operations in extreme cold weather conditions.
The goal of this contract is to ensure the availability of reliable and efficient snowmobiles for personnel during their activities in backcountry areas near Anchorage, Alaska.

Work Details
The Marine Corps requires the rental of (8) snowmobile machines and (6) tow behind sleds with the following specifications:
- **Type**: Utility/trail machine suitable for trails and backcountry areas.
- **Engine**: 4-stroke engines for longer lasting performance and reliability, designed for towing.
- **Seating**: Two-up seating for personnel recovery plans in case of vehicle breakdowns.
- **Windscreen**: Extra tall windscreen for protection against wind at temperatures as low as -60°F.
- **Heated Visor Plug-In**: For additional protection from wind and frost at extreme temperatures.
- **Track Width**: Wide track (20” or wider) for better traction and stability on ice while towing.
- **Heated Grips**: For both driver and passenger, providing warmth in extreme cold.
- **Front Skid Plate**: To protect the machine from debris during operation.
- **Storage Rack**: For extra cargo space to access cold weather gear quickly.
- **J-Hook Hitch**: Required for towing utility sleds.
- **Toolkits**: Specific toolkits needed for breakdowns in austere environments.
- **Block Heater**: Essential to ensure the machine starts in -60°F conditions.

Additionally, (6) individual sized tow behind sleds are required to transport essential cargo, recovery equipment, and fuel.
