Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the

format in Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional

information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes

are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Interested parties are responsible

for monitoring the SAM.gov site to ensure they have the most up to date information about

this acquisition. No partial quotes will be considered. No partial awards will be made.

Submission of Quotations

Quotations/offers and any accompanying information shall be submitted via email to the attention

of Ricardo Tiggle, Contracting Officer, at rtiggle@fbi.gov, no later than Thursday,

8/22/24, at 12:00 pm EST. Quotations/offers sent via other means (i.e. telephone call,

facsimile transmission, etc.) will not be considered.

Background
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is issuing this Request for Quotation (RFQ) to solicit authorized resellers for the acquisition of a Smiths Detection Cargo X-Ray Machine.

The goal of this contract is to establish a one-time Purchase Order that includes essential components such as a warranty, freight, training software, and installation services.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing a Smiths Detection X-Ray machine that includes the following:
- 12-month warranty
- Freight
- Training software
- Fold down roller table
- Tunnel extension
- Installation
- Disassembly and removal of the old X-Ray machine.

The RFQ allows for bids on new alternate items as long as they meet all specified physical, functional, or performance characteristics. Vendors must provide detailed descriptions including make and model for evaluation. All deliveries must be FOB destination to FBI HQ in Cheverly MD.
