IAW 13.501, please see the attached justification for the only one source award due to usual and compelling urgency for the Slagel DFAC Pump Waste & Repair Leaks.

Background
The contract is a sole source award for the pumping and removal of approximately 200,000 gallons of sanitary waste, water, and grease that has accumulated underneath the Slagel Dining Facility (DFAC) due to unknown breaks in the drain pipes. The area presents a nuisance odor and has become a food stock for insects and pests, which has interrupted normal operations. Immediate award is necessary to prevent a public health shutdown.

Work Details
The services being obtained require the pumping and removal of approximately 200,000 gallons of sanitary waste, water, and grease that has accumulated underneath the Slagel Dining Facility (DFAC) due to unknown breaks in the drain pipes. In addition, all the pipes will be repaired and the underground area will be restored to its original state. The total estimated cost of these services provided on Purchase Request F2M3CB3243A001 with a 15-day period of performance.
