SkyTower I System Build, Test, and Integration   2

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) has awarded a Firm Fixed Price and Cost Plus Fixed Fee Modification to existing Contract N0001920C0031 to General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), Poway, CA, for the procurement of production, test, and integration of SkyTower I Pods and procurement of additional required equipment necessary for the successful operation and support of three (3) MQ-9A Reapers and ground based components, inclusive of SkyTower I Pods, Air Vehicle Installation Kits, Ground Control System (GCS) Installation Kits, Product Support Material/Ancillary Items, and Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) Modifications for the MQ-9 Reaper Program. This contract modification was awarded to GA-ASI in the amount of $7,784,929.

This acquisition was pursued on a sole-source basis under statutory authority of Title 10, U.S.C. Section 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government. This effort is covered under the Justification and Approval (J&A) number 22-0256 redacted version attached to this announcement.
