This solicitation is to provide services to (1) masticate existing brush, standing live small conifer trees, and slash. Masticate: Most of the project area consists of brush and small standing live trees less than 4 dbh (seedlings) that can be felled and mulched by most industrial mowing implements. For the purposes of this contract the terms mow and mastication are used interchangeably.

Background
The solicitation is for a blanket purchase agreement call request on BPA “CORP 2.0 BPA 1204N020Q0004” for the Deschutes National Forest. The purpose of the contract is to provide services to masticate existing brush, standing live small conifer trees, and slash. The project area consists of brush and small standing live trees less than 4” dbh (seedlings) that can be felled and mulched by most industrial mowing implements.

Work Details
The work involves masticating existing brush, standing live small conifer trees, and slash in the Deschutes National Forest. The contractor will be responsible for mulching these materials using industrial mowing implements. The terms “mow” and “mastication” are used interchangeably for this contract.
