Background
The United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) 10th Contracting Squadron is seeking a SIPRNet-authorized Virtual Desktop Interface (VDI) system to support 80 concurrent, unique user logons at a time with 100GB of storage per user and a 1Gb network connection to thin clients; 350 user profiles stored and accessible per quarter. The system must be deployed in a classified environment up to the SECRET level and support high-speed data processing, storage, and throughput. Vendors must be authorized to work in secure areas and have experience with the deployment of virtual desktop infrastructure in classified environments.

Work Details
The contract requires a SIPRNet-authorized Virtual Desktop Interface enterprise solution to support specific user logon, storage, network connection, and user profile requirements. Additionally, the use of Dell equipment is mandated due to its inclusion on the DISA Approved Product List (APL) and Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) certification. The brand name requirement is justified by the need to maintain security package compatibility with existing systems, as well as warranty considerations for servers, switches, and other electronic components.

Place of Performance
The product will be delivered to the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) in Colorado.
