Single LHe Pump Lease

THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO EXTEND THE PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE OF THE CONTRACT.

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Kennedy Space Center (KSC) Office of Procurement intends to extend the current sole-source contract, 80KSC019P0055, with Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. This action will result in a modification that extends the period of performance up to nine months from January 1, 2024 to September 30, 2024 for the continued lease of a single Liquid Helium (LHe) pump at KSC. The proposed extension is based upon the exclusion found at Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1 and 10 United States Code 3204(a)(1), which authorizes other than full and open competition when there is only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.

THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.

This is a notice of the intent to extend the period of performance on an existing sole-source contract. It is published for informational purposes only and not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation document exists for this requirement. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. No reimbursement for any costs associated with responses to this notice will be provided.
