Background
The U.S. Department of State is issuing a Request for Proposal for Simultaneous Interpretation Equipment and Services. The contract will be a multiple-award Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity contract with time and materials for labor hours and cost reimbursable line items for travel and other direct costs. The contractor is required to provide the necessary supplies and services in accordance with the Statement of Work.

Work Details
The contractor will provide professional multichannel equipment and services for simultaneous interpretation equipment for the Department of State, Bureau of Administration, Office of Operations, Office of General Services Management, Special Services Division, Audiovisual Services Branch, Washington, D.C. The equipment will be used at the highest levels of government and must conform to the aesthetics of the conference rooms.
The contractor must have facilities and personnel located in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area to facilitate permanent installations of the type and scope presently existing in the Department of State.
The contractor will maintain a qualified service organization located in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area to support and maintain all equipment on a rental and/or permanent installation basis.

Period of Performance
The contract shall govern the Contractor's and Government's rights and obligations with respect to any order issued during the effective period of this contract. The total duration of this contract, including the exercise of any options under this clause, shall not exceed five (5) years.

Place of Performance
The geographic location(s) where the contract will be performed is primarily in Washington, D.C., with potential domestic and international recurring travel.
