NASA/JSC plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Simulation and Advanced Software Services (SASS) contract.

The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.

This procurement is a total small business set-aside.

The NAICS Code is 541511 with a Size Standard of $27,500,000 in annual revenue.

All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.

The anticipated release date of the RFP is on or about November 25, 2019 with an anticipated offer due date of on or about January 13, 2020.

NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable. The Center Ombudsman for this acquisition can be found at http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/pub/pub_library/Omb.html .

The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet at https://procurement.jsc.nasa.gov/sass/ and at beta.SAM.gov . These documents will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.

Prospective offerors shall notify this office of their intent to submit an offer. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any).

All contractual technical questions must be submitted in writing (e-mail or fax). Telephone questions will not be accepted.

This is a modification 1 to the synopsis entitled Simulation and Advanced Software Services (SASS) 80JSC020R0018 which was posted on November 7, 2019. You are notified that the following changes are made:

1. The SASS Request for Proposal (RFP) and associated documents have been posted. The due date for responses is January 13, 2020 at 3:00 p.m., Eastern Time/2:00 p.m., Central Time.

2. NASA/JSC will hold a Virtual Pre-Proposal Conference for the SASS procurement on Thursday, December 12, 2019, from 9:00 a.m. Central time to 12:00 PM Central Time. To register for the SASS Pre-Proposal Conference, please follow the instructions in the attached Pre-Proposal Conference Information.
