Description

Brookhaven Science Associates (BSA) is issuing a Request for Quote (RFQ) for six silicon substrates per the BNL provided statement of work (SOW). BSA invites you to participate in accorance with the RFQ letter and all supporting attachments. This requirement has been posted on the SAM.gov website under solicitation number RFQ-452273.

Background
Brookhaven Science Associates (BSA), operator of Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) under a Prime Contract with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), is issuing a Request for Quote (RFQ) for silicon substrates. The goal of this contract is to procure six silicon substrates as outlined in the provided statement of work (SOW). This procurement is being solicited for full and open competition.

Work Details
The Offeror shall furnish all labor, services, materials, and equipment in accordance with the attached Draft Purchase Order. The specific requirements include:
- Fabrication of 6 Silicon Substrates with the following specifications:
- Size: L: 450 +/- 0.2 mm, W: 30 +/- 0.2 mm, T: 30 +/- 0.2 mm
- One side polished, other side ground
- Roughness: 0.3 nm as seen by WLI x2.5 and x20
- Clear aperture ~90% of the length x 20 mm
- Tolerance: +/-0.2mm
- Surface quality: 60/40
- Chips: ≤0.8mm
- Bevel: ≤0.8mm x 45° FW
- Potential future needs include fabrication of up to 18 flat mirrors and 18 spherical mirrors over the next three years with minor changes in tolerances.

Period of Performance
The anticipated period of performance for the delivery of the six silicon substrates is approximately 7-8 weeks after receipt of order.

Place of Performance
The products will be delivered to Brookhaven National Laboratory, Receiving: Bldg. 98 Rochester Street, Upton, New York 11973-5000.
