Background
The 105th Airlift Wing of the Department of the Air Force requires a pedestrian pathway to connect buildings 202, 203, and 204 at Stewart Air National Guard Base in Newburgh, NY. This project aims to enhance pedestrian safety and accessibility, especially during winter operations.

Work Details
The contractor shall design and install sidewalks including survey, excavation, grading, compaction, installation of ADA/safety features, and replacement of topsoil/seed.

Tasks include grading and excavation with specific slope requirements, installation of retaining walls if necessary, realignment or upgrade of drainage features, and stabilization of exposed areas.

Sidewalk installation requires sub-base and surface material compliance with governing codes, use of geotextile fabric, gravel base course compacted to 95%, concrete finish course meeting ASTM standards, broom finishing parallel to expansion joints.

Additional site features include removal and replacement of existing sidewalks/curbs for ADA ramps/drop curbs, installation of painted crosswalks, expansion of concrete pad at building 107's exterior door by 6’-0” by 8’-4”, installation of metal louvered fencing for screening condensers, and planting four October Glory Maple trees.

Period of Performance
The performance period for the contract is 60 days.

Performance will take place at the 105th Airlift Wing, Stewart ANGB in Newburgh, NY.
