SHIP CHECK NOTICE--Operation & Maintenance (O&M) of T-ATS Vessels   2

Background
The Military Sealift Command (MSC) is issuing a notice for a ship check related to the Operation and Maintenance (O&M) of T-ATS vessels. This initiative aims to ensure that Operating Companies (OPCOs) are adequately prepared and informed about the requirements for maintaining these vessels, which are critical to MSC's mission of providing strategic sealift and ocean transportation for the Department of Defense.

Work Details
The ship check is an opportunity for OPCOs to inspect the T-ATS vessels. Each OPCO may send up to two representatives to participate in this event. It is mandatory for attendees to bring their own personal protective equipment (PPE).

The required documentation for participation includes proof of citizenship and government-issued photo identification. The specific documents accepted as proof of citizenship include a birth certificate, passport, certificate of naturalization, permanent resident card, Merchant Mariner Card, or Common Access Card. Additionally, attendees must present a government-issued photo ID such as a driver's license.

Period of Performance
The ship check is scheduled for 25 September 2026, with attendance times to be determined between 0800 and 1600 hours.

Bidder Requirements
To participate in the ship check, OPCOs must submit required documentation by 11 September 2026 at 3 PM EST. This includes proof of citizenship and a government-issued photo ID. All costs incurred by the OPCO for attending the ship check will not be reimbursed.
