AMENDMENT 0001 (Dated 01/31/2024):

This amendment (0001) is being issued to add a question and answer document to Attachments/Links. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.

This request for quote (RFQ) solicitation # 12505B24Q0040 is for sheep shearing services in accordance with the Statement of Work (SOW) provided in the Attachments/Links section.

The associated NAICS is 115210 (Support Activities for Animal Production) with a small business size standard of under $11.0 Million. The applicable PSC is R416 (Support- Professional: Veterinary/Animal Care). This solicitation is issued as a 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside .

It is the Government's intent to award a multi-year Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract.

Any questions and all quotes must be submitted in writing via email to Aaron Dimeo at aaron.dimeo@usda.gov with the solicitation number ( 12505B24Q0040 ) and/or title ("Sheep Shearing Services IDIQ") in the subject line, body, or attachments.

A completed SF1449 and "Supporting Information Form" are to be include with your quote. It is also strongly advised that a completed copy of the provision FAR 52.212-3 be included with all quotes. Please see "Additional Information" in the Attachments/Links section for more details.

All quotes must be submitted in writing with all other requested and required documentation. Quotes are due by or before 11:59 PM CT on Monday, February 5, 2024.

Background

Work Details
The scope of work involves shearing of clean, scrapie, and containment sheep at the USDA-ARS NCAH Facility in Ames, IA. The contractor will perform shearing as needed on each category of sheep detailed in the table provided. The contractor must have flexibility in scheduling for each category of sheep and be available to work around shifting schedules of Animal Resource Unit personnel.
The period of performance is anticipated to be a 5-year contract with 5 ordering periods from 04/01/2024 to 03/31/2029.
