Project Description: This project is for the installation of approximately 24 milesof road repair for National Recreation Area (NRA) Management Unit in Shasta Trinity National Forest. Work includes but is not limited to asphalt pulverizing and paving, double chip seal, and road reconditioning. Construction services shall be performed by the awardee in accordance with the specifications, terms, and conditions of this solicitation, including those found in the attachments (see Section J).

Set-Aside: This solicitation is set aside 100% for Small Business entities.

Project Location: Shasta Trinity National Forest, National Recreation Area (NRA).

Background
The project is for the installation of approximately 24 miles of road repair for National Recreation Area (NRA) Management Unit in Shasta Trinity National Forest. The work includes but is not limited to asphalt pulverizing and paving, double chip seal, and road reconditioning. The solicitation is set aside 100% for Small Business entities. The project magnitude is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000 IAW 36.204.

Work Details
The scope of work includes road work on Forest Road 34N17 (Fender’s Ferry Road), Forest Road 35N15 (Gregory Creek Road), and the Gregory Creek Campground loop road, parking spurs, and lake access. The contractor is responsible for furnishing all materials, labor, equipment, transportation, and incidentals to carry out and complete the work described herein. The work shall conform to the Standard Specifications for Construction of Roads and Bridges on Federal Highway Projects (FP-14) and the Forest Service Supplemental Specifications (FSSS). The contract also includes option work for Gregory Creek Road (35N15).

Period of Performance
Work to be completed within 120 calendar days following Notice to Proceed (NTP) from the Contracting Officer.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed in Shasta Trinity National Forest, National Recreation Area (NRA), including specific locations such as Fender’s Ferry Road, Gregory Creek Road, and Gregory Creek Campground.
