Description

Walter Reed National Military Medical Center Sterile Processing Department has a requirement "Sharpening and Repair of Surgical Instruments" Please see attached SOW for detail of the requirement.

All cost should be included in the monthly price.

Background
The Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMCB) is seeking to fulfill a requirement for the sharpening and repair of surgical instruments used by the Department of Defense. The goal of this contract is to ensure that surgical instruments are maintained in optimal condition to support the medical mission of the facility.

Work Details
The contractor will provide on-site sharpening and repair services for various surgical instruments owned by the Department of Defense at WRNMMCB. Key tasks include:
1. On-site sharpening to be completed by the end of each day, along with inspections and repairs.
2. Provision of trained, experienced, English-speaking personnel, labor, tools, testing devices, supplies, safety testing, transportation, parts, and equipment necessary for the services.
3. Maintenance of equipment to meet original equipment manufacturers’ (OEM) specifications.
4. Sharpening needs include 37,105 individual surgical instrument sets and various types of surgical instruments such as scissors, needle drivers, forceps, clamps, bone cutters, microsurgical instruments, dental instrumentation, and neurosurgical instrumentation.
5. Repairs include replacement of tungsten carbide inserts in needle drivers and scissors, re-insulation of bipolar forceps and endoscopic instruments, and repairs on towel clamps and self-retaining retractors.
6. The contractor must provide a point-of-contact for scheduling service calls and coordination.
7. A full-service report detailing services performed must be provided upon completion or within two days after service.

Base Year from September 30, 2025 to September 29, 2026; Option Year #1 from September 30, 2026 to September 29, 2027; Option Year #2 from September 30, 2027 to September 29, 2028.
