Description

SFO-CFO INVASIVE SPECIES MANAGEMENT BPA
Background
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Salmon and Challis Field Offices (SFO-CFO) is seeking to manage invasive species through a Blank Purchase Agreement (BPA). The goal of this contract is to secure services for the inventory and herbicide application targeting noxious and invasive weed species on rangeland sites within the SFO-CFO.

The SFO manages nearly 500,000 acres of public land while the CFO manages approximately 800,000 acres, encompassing diverse habitats from sagebrush steppe to alpine environments.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all personnel, supervision, labor, equipment, materials, travel, and any other direct incidental costs necessary to inventory and treat invasive weed species using BLM-approved herbicides. Services will include on-the-ground herbicide spraying using ATVs, UTVs, backpack sprayers, and potentially boats for work along the Salmon River.

The work will be conducted in eight designated Invasive Plant Management Zones: Birch Creek, Lemhi, River North, River South, Challis River Corridor, East Fork, Pahsimeroi, and Big Lost. Specific tasks include:
- Conducting invasive species inventory and treatment according to task orders.
- Treating identified invasive species at appropriate biological treatment windows.
- Ensuring compliance with Idaho pesticide regulations and carrying necessary certifications.
- Managing logistics for remote locations which may require camping or lodging for efficiency.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is from February 4, 2025 to February 3, 2030.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed in various locations within the Salmon and Challis Field Offices in Idaho.
