SFLC ICP Wood Crates

Background
The U.S. Coast Guard's Surface Forces Logistics Center (SFLC) is the centralized inventory source of parts, equipment, and materials for Coast Guard assets worldwide. A crucial part of SFLC's mission is to ensure materials, parts, gear, and equipment (inventory) are adequately packaged in wood crates, when required, prior to acceptance at receiving and prior to shipment to domestic and overseas locations from the Inventory Control Point (ICP). The ICP has no dedicated team to support wood crate construction applicable ASTM specifications.

Work Details
This contract covers the provision of wood crate construction, assembly, delivery, on-site bracing, and marking support services for the SFLC ICP. The contractor is expected to provide wood crate construction services using ASTM-prescribed lumber cut to dimensions & treated with copper naphthenate solution, wood preservative(s) and/or water repellent lumber. The contractor must also provide all labor and materials for crate assembly from Task Order provided inventory description that includes weight, length, width and height for wood crate construction. Additionally, the contractor must attend a Post Award Conference with the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) no later than five business days after the date of award.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is for one (1) fixed price Requirements contract, consisting of one (1) 12-month base period and two (2) 12-month options period.

Place of Performance
The primary place of performance will be a combination of Contractor's facilities for crate construction services, SFLC ICP located at the CG Yard and Surface Acquisition Logistics Center (SALC) as described. The specific locations include: (a) SFLC ICP at Bldg. 88, CG Yard, 2104 Hawkins Pt Rd, Baltimore, MD 21226; and (b) SALC at 771 E Ordnance Rd, Baltimore, MD 21226.
