This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 12.6, "Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items," as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; Proposals are being requested, and a written solicitation document will not be issued.
Background
The National Park Service, Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park (KEMO), has a requirement for Hazardous Tree Removal Services at NPS, Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park, 905 Kennesaw Mountain Dr. NW, Kennesaw, GA 30152. This solicitation is a request for proposal (RFP). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through (FAC) 2019-03.

Work Details
The purpose of this Statement of Work is to establish a contract for the removal of hazardous trees and limbs at the Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park. This contract includes the removal of 224 Hazardous Trees with DBHs ranging from 16” to 40” and hazardous tree limb removal as directed.

The National Park Service will mark all trees prior to removal. No trees or limbs not marked by the NPS are to be removed. This contract will last 10 to 12 months. The work will be ordered, as needed by the National Park Service (NPS) approximately once per month. Park employees will mark trees each month for removal. Trees will range from 16 inches to 40 inches in diameter and up to 100+ feet high. Trees will be removed, and debris chipped and/or moved from park boundaries, roads, parking lots and trails as ordered by the NPS. Tree stumps shall be cut at ground level.
