Service/Maintenance agreement for the COPAS Biosor

Background
The National Institutes of Health (NIH), Office of the Director, Office of Acquisitions, seeks to award a Firm-Fixed-Price contract for a service and maintenance agreement for the COPAS Biosorter FP500 system used in the Preclinical Chemical Biology (PCB) Laboratory. This instrument is critical for studies involving the worm Caenorhabditis elegans, which includes evaluating drug compounds and conducting various assays.

The goal of this contract is to ensure the operational integrity and reliability of the biosorter system, thereby supporting ongoing research efforts.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all necessary services, qualified personnel, materials, equipment, and facilities to perform the following tasks:
1. Service/Maintenance Agreement for the COPAS FP500 system (SN#U19-0435-076).
2. Conduct one annual Preventative Maintenance (PM) on the covered instrument/system.
3. Affix inspection stickers to each unit at the time of inspection.
4. Provide an equipment status report with inspection findings.

Specific requirements include:
- Unlimited emergency service within 24 hours via telephone and on-site.
- No additional charges for on-site labor, travel time, or travel expenses.
- Priority scheduling for service requests.
- All replacement parts provided at no charge.
- Software updates included and installed at no extra cost.
- Unlimited telephone support.

Period of Performance
The period of performance is one year, beginning upon acceptance of the purchase order by the contractor.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must ensure that only field service engineers with proven experience servicing the COPAS FP500 instrument provide service under this contract.
