Service Dog Food

Background
The U.S. Border Patrol Canine Academy, part of Customs and Border Protection (CBP), is responsible for providing food for approximately 500 canines housed at their facility in El Paso, Texas.

The goal of this contract is to procure dog food through an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) arrangement with three 1-year ordering periods, ensuring that the canines receive the necessary nutrition while they are in training and awaiting team assignments.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, necessary equipment, and supplies to facilitate the delivery of dog food for an estimated 500 government-owned canines.

The specific requirements include:
- Delivery of approximately 180 bags of dog food per month in various diet varieties.
- Types of diets include Eukanuba Performance Sport or equal diets.
- Deliveries must be coordinated with the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) and must occur within one week from order placement.
- Food must be pre-packaged in 40lb bags, free of debris, mold, and insects, and must be within six months of the expiration date.
- Estimated monthly requirement: 70 bags of Eukanuba Performance Sport or equal.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is three years from the date of award.
