Service Contract for Hamilton STAR V Liquid Handler

Background
The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) intends to award a sole source contract to Hamilton Company for a service agreement supporting a Government-owned Hamilton STAR V liquid handler located at the NIH Clinical Center.

This requirement is essential for maintaining the operational reliability and performance of the Hamilton STAR V liquid handler following the expiration of the manufacturer’s warranty. The Hamilton STAR V is a proprietary system, and Hamilton Company is the only authorized provider of certified service, parts, and updates.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide a comprehensive service agreement for the Hamilton STAR V liquid handler, which includes:
- Preventive maintenance services, including calibration and functional verification.
- Coverage of parts, labor, and travel for repairs due to normal use.
- Technical support via phone/email with a response time within four (4) business hours.
- Priority on-site service for instrument downtime.
- Firmware and software updates.
- Maintenance of all existing system functionalities and configurations.
- Service performed by manufacturer-trained and authorized personnel.
