Description

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source purchase order to Agilent Technologies, Inc.. Justification of the capability required is provided on the sole source justification document. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (SAP) and 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1)..

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Background
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), specifically the Division of Laboratory Sciences (DLS) within the National Center for Environmental Health, is responsible for preventing and controlling environmental health hazards and diseases. This contract aims to maintain Agilent Technologies, Inc. instrumentation used in critical analyses related to chemical terrorism, biomonitoring, and research. The DLS is designated by Congress as the primary location for measuring chemical warfare agents in humans and providing measurements of environmental toxicants.

Work Details
The contractor will provide maintenance and repair services for hundreds of Agilent instruments, ensuring they are properly calibrated and maintained according to OEM recommendations. Services include: telephone support, on-site maintenance by certified engineers, coverage of parts, travel costs, labor, software updates, and periodic preventative maintenance.

The contractor must respond to service requests within 24 hours and complete repairs within 5 workdays. During national emergencies, services will be available 24/7 at no additional cost. Preventative maintenance will be performed up to twice annually per instrument, including inspections and necessary repairs. The contractor is responsible for ensuring that all service engineers comply with CDC safety guidelines and training requirements.

Period of Performance
The contract period is from April 1, 2026, to March 31, 2031, with a base period followed by four option periods.

Place of Performance
Work will be performed at the Chamblee Campus of CDC located at 4770 Buford Highway, Atlanta, GA 30341.
