Description

The Electron and X-Ray Microscopy group at Argonne National Laboratory requires support in servicing and maintaining the FEI Quanta 400F Scanning electron microscope (SEM), a tool available for users of the Center for Nanoscale Materials (CNM).

The objective of this service maintenance contract is to retain the microscope in optimal working condition, with minimal downtime when equipment problems occur. The scope is intended to cover service for the period from 11/16/23 to 11/15/24.

Background
The Electron and X-Ray Microscopy group at Argonne National Laboratory requires support in servicing and maintaining the FEI Quanta 400F Scanning electron microscope (SEM), a tool available for users of the Center for Nanoscale Materials (CNM). The objective of this service maintenance contract is to retain the microscope in optimal working condition, with minimal downtime when equipment problems occur.

Work Details
The company will provide telephone support during regular business hours (M-F 8am-5pm), consisting of guidance on service issues that can be resolved over the telephone. If problems cannot be resolved over the telephone, a service engineer will come onsite to provide service within 48 hours of the service request. The service engineer will be experienced in the diagnosis and repair of the Quanta 400F SEM. The Contractor must adhere to the Job Safety Analysis.

The contract will provide for 1 planned maintenance visit, addressing repairs and adjustments that arise from regular use of the microscope. It will include all necessary spare parts and replacement field emission gun (FEG) tips, as well as software updates.
