Description

NOTICE: 100% Small Business Set-Aside

The United States Airforce AFLCMC/HNCKA Air and Ground, with the intent for a 100% Small Business Set-Aside; has a requirement to purchase five (5) power supply units (Part # 75PS4-D100WH1) and five (5) power supply units (Part # 75PS4-D200WH1) manufactured by North Atlantic Industries Inc (NAII). The power supplies are used on the Advanced Airborne Research Equipment (AARE) platform, specifically in the Sensor Interface Units (SIUs). The AARE is a unique gaseous and particulate collection system that supports our nation's nuclear treaty monitoring mission.

NAI's 75PS4 series is a rugged, high-performance 75W or 150W DC/DC power supply designed for the aerospace, defense, and industrial markets. This programmable, switching COTS conduction-cooled converter accepts a +28 VDC input and plugs directly into a standard 3U cPCI chassis with a 0.8 slot. The 75PS4 uses NAVMAT component derating and offers an optional reverse polarity protection and holdup time. Its dual microprocessor-controlled design and innovative architecture provides an exceptionally robust solution to the difficult problem of supplying clean power to upstream electronics, while operating in extreme conditions.

The D100 series power supply provides the lower output voltage for the single SIU mounted on the gas collection system (GCS) panel. The D200 series power supply provides the high output voltage for the GCS sphere/COPV rack system.

The AARE and Big Safari Configuration Control boards have approved the use of only this specific power supplies in the AARE platform SIUs; manufactured by NAII and sold by Kampi Components Co.
