Security Guard Services for US Army Corps of Engineers-New Orleans District   3

Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) has responsibility for investigating, developing, and maintaining the nation’s water and related environmental resources; constructing and operating projects for navigation, flood control, major drainage, shore and beach restoration and protection, related hydro power development, water supply, water quality control, fish and wildlife conservation and enhancement, and outdoor recreation; responding to emergency relief activities directed by other federal agencies; and administering laws for the protection and preservation of navigable waters, emergency flood control and shore protection. The USACE – Mississippi Valley, New Orleans District (MVN) provides quality engineering and other professional products and services to develop and manage the Nation’s water resources needs in an economically and environmentally sustainable manner. MVN requires a flexible contractual vehicle for Security Guard services in support of the Security and Law Enforcement Office mission to protect personnel and property in the MVN area of responsibility (AOR).

Work Details
The contractor shall furnish all necessary labor, supervision, other items, and services necessary to satisfactorily perform security guard services at the designated facilities within the MVN boundaries or area of responsibility (AOR). The contract will be for a period of five years (1 Base period with 4 option periods).
Base period services shall be for a one-year period upon award for 12 months unless earlier terminated. If the option is exercised, the term of the Contract will be extended on a period-by-period basis. The Contractor shall provide a qualified, trained workforce to include on-site supervision capable of performing all security guard services necessary to meet the mission requirements of MVN.

Period of Performance

Place of Performance
The designated facilities within the MVN boundaries or area of responsibility (AOR) including New Orleans District Headquarters Campus covering seven acres located at 7400 Leake Ave, New Orleans, Louisiana; Inner Harbor Navigation Canal (IHNC) Lock located at 4635 Urquhart St., New Orleans, Louisiana.
