Background
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is seeking to enhance security at the Calexico Station due to vulnerabilities associated with outdated access control systems.

The goal of this contract is to plan and install a new Gallagher Security System that complies with Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD 12) and Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS 201). This system aims to improve access control and safety for personnel at the facility.

Work Details
The contractor will design, replace, and install a complete security system for the exterior entrance points of the Calexico Station. The system must include electronic access control compliant with HSPD-12 and FIPS 201 standards, integrating cryptographic smart cards (PIV cards), secure database management, and tamper-resistant hardware.

Additionally, labor for trenching and installation of conduit and junction boxes, as well as asphalt and concrete saw cutting, is required.

Period of Performance
The performance period for this work is ninety (90) calendar days from the Notice to Proceed (NTP).

Place of Performance
Calexico Border Patrol Station, 536 Barbara Worth Road, Calexico, CA 92231.

Bidder Requirements
Contractors must comply with all Federal, State, and Local laws, licenses, and regulations. All items delivered under this contract must be preserved and packaged according to normal commercial practices. Contractors are required to have personnel certified by the product manufacturer for design details and equipment selection.
