Description

Installment of 10/10 MBPS Metro E Point to Point Layer 2 Circuit over HFC to connect NAS Oceana Dam Neck Annex Building 464 Commander, Undersea Surveillance (CUS) to NAS Oceana Building 320 radio room in order to enable the CUS security alarm to notify Oceana Base Security.

Background
The contract involves the installment of a 10/10 MBPS Metro E Point to Point Layer 2 Circuit over HFC to connect NAS Oceana Dam Neck Annex Building 464 Commander, Undersea Surveillance (CUS) to NAS Oceana Building 320 radio room in order to enable the CUS security alarm to notify Oceana Base Security. The contract also includes engineering and technical support services for leased telephone services at Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station Atlantic (NCTAMS LANT). The contract has a five-year ordering period from April 2022 to March 2027.

Work Details
The work under this contract includes providing NCTAMS LANT leased telecommunications services such as basic dial-tone service, 1.544Mb (T1) point-to-point circuits, Primary Rate Interface (PRI) circuits, and Metro-E - Fast Ethernet service with various speed requirements. Additionally, the contractor is responsible for installation of new services as required. The contractor is required to provide an average circuit and PRI availability of at least 99.9% for those portions of circuits that are not government provided. The contractor is also responsible for obtaining all approvals and permits necessary to provide the service and must utilize approved alternate or spare facilities whenever possible to eliminate or minimize scheduled service interruptions.

Period of Performance
The contract has a five-year ordering period from April 2022 to March 2027.
