Seagrave Marauder, 95' Aerialscope, Mid Mount Aerial Tower

Background
The National Institutes of Health Fire Department, also known as The Division of Fire and Rescue Services (DFRS), requires a Seagrave Marauder, 95’ Aerialscope, mid-mount aerial tower or equivalent to meet the design specifications provided. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of qualified small business sources capable of providing the required apparatus.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide a Seagrave Marauder, 95’ Aerialscope, mid-mount aerial tower or equivalent to meet the design specifications provided by the National Institutes of Health Fire Department. The apparatus should comply with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Standard for Automotive Fire Apparatus 2016 Edition. The scope includes replacing a 20+ year old aerial tower that is prone to mechanical failures and is limited in its permitted life of service. The contractor's responsibilities include meeting with DFRS to ensure compliance with NFPA standards, providing proposed design and specifications to the manufacturer, facilitating pre-construction conference, hosting in-process inspections, and delivering the completed apparatus over the road under its own power.

The construction of the Seagrave 95’ Marauder Aerialscope should be completed approximately 880 days after signing of the Firm Fixed Price Contract.

Period of Performance
The construction of the Seagrave 95’ Marauder Aerialscope should be completed approximately 880 days after signing of the Firm Fixed Price Contract.

Place of Performance
The delivery of the completed fire apparatus may require the delivery driver to enter the Bethesda, MD campus. The familiarization and Training will require a manufacturer representative to be on the Bethesda MD campus for approximately three days.
