SCIEX Workstations and Analyst 1.7 Acquisition software

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Office of Acquisition Services (OAS) intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to AB Sciex LLC for SCIEX Workstations SCIEX OS Analyst 1.7 Acquisition software. The new workstations and Analyst 1.7 Acquisition software will replace outdated units and software that are connected to AB Sciex LLC TripleQuad mass spectrometers. AB Sciex LLC is the only source of Analyst 1.7 Acquisition software, which is necessary to operate and control AB Sciex LLC Mass Spectrometers currently used in the Tobacco Exposure Biomarker Lab (TEBL).

This contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 8.405-6 and 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1).

This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotations. An official solicitation will be posted at a future date. However, firms that believe they can meet the requirement are welcome to identify themselves and provide a substantive statement with descriptive literature and any other supporting information within six (6) days of issuance of this notice to be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
