Scientific Instrument Maintenance and Repair Services - IDIQ   188

Background
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) operates laboratories which conduct analyses using scientific instruments and other associated equipment. The FDA now requires the use of a Contractor to manage and coordinate maintenance and repair services for scientific instruments at FDA facilities nationwide.

The prime customers for the Scientific Instrument and Equipment Maintenance and Repair Services contract are FDA laboratory scientists based in roughly twenty-one (21) laboratory facilities around the United States and Puerto Rico.

Work Details
The instruments to be covered include laboratory instruments and associated laboratory equipment at twenty-one (21) FDA facilities in the United States and Puerto Rico. The types of instruments to be covered include, but are not limited to, mass spectrometers, liquid chromatographs, gas chromatographs, centrifuges, infrared spectrometers, Raman spectrometers, nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometers, electron microscopes, surface analysis instrumentation, optical microscopes, DNA sequencers and analyzers, microbial identification systems, incubators, shakers, autoclaves, vacuum pumps, fume hoods/safety cabinets, freezers/refrigerators (both walk-in and stand-alone), and other instruments and equipment used in or supporting laboratory operations.

Period of Performance
The Period of Performance for this contract is from September 24, 2023 to September 23, 2024 with four one-year option periods: September 24, 2024 to September 23, 2025; September 24, 2025 to September 23, 2026; September 24, 2026 to September 23, 2027; September 24, 2027 to September 23, 2028.

Place of Performance
All Contractor personnel are required to conduct coordination of repair and maintenance services at the Contractor’s site. Specific location information will be specified in each Task Order.
