Description

This acquisition involves a consolidation of requirements in accordance with FAR 7.107-2 and has been determined necessary and justified. The Government intends to award a sole source 8(a) contract in accordance with FAR 19.8, as a result of this consolidated requirement. Please refer to the attached determination for additional information.

This is not a request for proposals.

Background
The U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) is consolidating requirements to reduce administrative burden and enhance mission success by awarding a sole source 8(a) contract for Scientific and Technical Research Support Services.

Work Details
The contract involves providing scientific and technical research support services across various USAMRIID sciences divisions at Fort Detrick, Maryland.

Tasks include aerobiology, animal clinical pathology, telemetry, medical pathology, and core laboratory support services.

The consolidation aims to streamline operations by reducing deliverables from 28 to 12 per month and meetings from two to one per month, allowing flexibility in resource allocation across divisions.

Period of Performance
The base period of performance is from May 20, 2022, through March 31, 2023, with two additional 12-month option periods.
