School Psychologist, HES

Background
The Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) is seeking a School Psychologist/Educational Diagnostician to support the Havasupai Elementary School (HES) in Supai, Arizona. HES is a K-8th grade school serving approximately 70 students and is operated under the direction of the Associate Deputy Director, Bureau Operated Schools, and the Education Program Administrator, Albuquerque Education Resource Center.

The Havasupai Tribe has lived in the Grand Canyon for over 1,000 years and faces unique challenges due to its remote location. The purpose of this contract is to procure services that meet the requirements of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).

Work Details
The contractor shall provide school psychology services as a related service provider and/or educational diagnostician in a school setting. Responsibilities include performing psycho-educational assessments for students requiring triennial re-evaluations or newly referred students who may qualify for services under IDEA.

The contractor will prepare individualized written psycho-educational reports for each assigned case, including summaries in the Native American Student Information System (NASIS) used by BIE. Participation in eligibility determination meetings is required when results indicate eligibility. Building positive relationships with HES students, staff, and Supai families/guardians is essential.

Base Year: 09/01/2025 - 08/31/2026; Option Year-One: 09/01/2026 - 08/31/2027; Option Year-Two: 09/01/2027 - 08/31/2028; Option Year-Three: 09/01/2028 - 08/31/2029; Option Year-Four: 09/01/2029 - 08/31/2030.
