Description

The belt filter presses are operating inefficiently and with no redundancy, without out redundancy total plant would result with no backup. The current condition is contributing significantly to the partial failure of the plant and permit violations. The belt filter presses, and corresponding appurtenances must be rehabilitated as soon as possible to operate the plant effectively to reduce pollutants being discharged and causing a public health crisis and prevent a total failure.

Background
The belt filter presses at the SBIWTP are currently operating inefficiently and without redundancy, leading to partial plant failure and permit violations. This condition is contributing significantly to the discharge of pollutants, causing a public health crisis and the risk of a total plant failure. The rehabilitation of the belt filter presses and corresponding appurtenances is urgently required to operate the plant effectively and reduce pollutants being discharged.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, tools, materials, and services to rehabilitate belt filter presses, replace variable frequency drives, and replace programmable logic controllers. The work is required immediately and the period of performance shall not exceed 365 days from the date of notice to proceed.
