Description

NAVSEA's Submarine Performance Monitoring Program (PMP) members collect timing and performance data, troubleshoot, and provide corrective maintenance guidance to the fleet on all Sargent Hydraulic Control Valves. NAVSEA's Submarine PMP requires training from the manufacturer as Sargent Aerospace & Defense is the original equipment manufacturer designer, developer, and distributor of the Sargent Hydraulic Control Valves.

Background
The solicitation is for Sargent Aerospace & Defense, LLC to provide training on Sargent Servo Control valves to the Performance Monitoring Program (PMP) of NAVSEA. The training is intended to collect timing and performance data, troubleshoot, and provide corrective maintenance guidance to the fleet on all Sargent Hydraulic Control Valves. The period of performance for the contract is from 01 June 2023 to 30 September 2023.

Work Details
The training shall be conducted at the vendor site in Tucson, AZ and will include a four-day course covering basic hydraulic principles, hydraulic circuits and symbols, actuators, relief and pressure reducing valves, directional control valves, flow control valves, as well as specific training on Sargent Servo Control Valves including principles, troubleshooting, assembly and disassembly, setup and testing. Each participant will be provided with a student handbook discussing hydraulic and servo valve operations.

The contract also includes the delivery of ten units of SARGENT SERVO CONTROL VALVE TRAINING.
