This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, using Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items found at FAR 13.5, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued.

This is a non-personal services contract to provide removal of sandblast grit. Trident Refit Facility Bangor (TRFB) requires vendor services for the removal of 282 skids (approximately 1.24 million lbs.) of spent garnet sandblast grit. Grit is to be removed from S/71A laydown area (Archerfish) outside of the Waterfront Restricted Area (WRA).

This requirement is being competed as a 100% total small business set aside, and the Government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Commercial Service type contract. This is a non-personnel services contract.

The period of performance will be 19 May 2025 18 July 2025

Background
The Trident Refit Facility Bangor (TRFB) is seeking vendor services for the removal of spent garnet sandblast grit as part of a non-personal services contract. The goal of this contract is to facilitate the removal of approximately 1.24 million lbs. of sandblast grit from the S/71A laydown area (Archerfish), which is located outside of the Waterfront Restricted Area (WRA). This solicitation is issued as a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items, and it is a total small business set aside.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the removal of 282 skids (approximately 1.24 million lbs.) of spent garnet sandblast grit from the designated laydown area. The work must comply with all applicable regulations and standards, ensuring that all operations are conducted safely and efficiently. The contractor must adhere to the Acceptable Quality Level (AQL) standards, where performance within acceptable levels will be deemed satisfactory, while any performance below these levels may be considered unsatisfactory.
