Description

The contractor shall provide all materials, labor, equipment, tools, transportation, supervision, expertise, and other incidentals necessary, except as otherwise provided, to successfully complete grounds maintenance at the Sam Houston RD Office Compound in accordance with attached and referenced specifications.

Background
The contractor shall provide all materials, labor, equipment, tools, transportation, supervision, expertise, and other incidentals necessary to successfully complete grounds maintenance at the Sam Houston RD Office Compound in accordance with attached and referenced specifications. The Sam Houston RD Office Compound consists of office buildings and a fenced-in Fleet Parking Area. The office is a fully functional office open for business between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:30 pm Monday through Friday, except for federal holidays.

The Sam Houston Fleet Parking area is a fenced/locked gated area, which consists of a paved parking area, radio tower, equipment holding area, storage buildings, and multiple sewer components. The Sam Houston NF District Office Administrative Site is approximately five acres and includes paved access roads, paved employee and customer parking, and a fenced/gated USFS fleet parking facility. Most of the utility lines are underground.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide grounds maintenance services on a call-when-needed basis as shown in the specifications. This includes mowing and trimming all grass surfaces surrounding District Office buildings, employee parking lots, equipment holding areas, and fences; maintaining planter areas in front of the District office; trimming hedges to prevent security camera blockage. An organized site visit is not scheduled but offerors are urged to inspect the site where services are to be performed.

Period of Performance
Period of Performance: 08/01/2023 to 07/31/2024 (Base Year), with option years extending from 08/01/2024 to 07/31/2025 (Option Year 1), 08/01/2025 to 07/31/2026 (Option Year 2), 08/01/2026 to 07/31/2027 (Option Year 3), and 08/01/2027 to 07/31/2028 (Option Year 4).
