Description

In order to sustain Library performance, support and advance the educational mission of the Academy, and provide the necessary resources to sustain faculty research agendas, the Nimitz Library must own key scholarly materials in the humanities, sciences, engineering, and professions. These resources must provide the uniquely curated intellectual property necessary for the Academy's specific educational and research needs.

a. Full-text access to the selected Sage online journals and reference resources.
b. Articles must be indexable by the Library's Ex Libris Alma and Primo systems.
c. Product use data meeting the COUNTER standard using must be provided on a regular basis.
d. Publisher POC should respond within one business day to all technical and content questions and problems posed by the Library's POC.
e. The content provider must be able to be signatory on bi-lateral license and terms & conditions agreements.

Background
The Nimitz Library at the U.S. Naval Academy serves a patron population of approximately 4,520 midshipmen, 600 faculty, and 3,000 other staff and military personnel.

The library's mission is to support the academic and educational needs of the Naval Academy by purchasing scholarly content in the form of journals and databases, which are essential for curriculum development and research activities.

Work Details
The contract requires a one-year subscription to selected Sage online journals and reference resources. Specific requirements include:
- Full-text access to the selected Sage online journals.
- Articles must be indexable by the Library’s Ex Libris Alma and Primo systems.
- Regular provision of product use data that meets the COUNTER standard.
- Publisher point of contact (POC) must respond within one business day to all technical and content inquiries from the Library’s POC.
- The content provider must be able to sign bi-lateral license agreements and terms & conditions agreements.
