Background
The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) is issuing this solicitation for the procurement of Safety and Arming Devices in support of the M-D6 Patriot weapon system. The contract aims to ensure a reliable supply of these critical components to maintain operational readiness and effectiveness of military equipment. This requirement is sole source to L3 Harris Fuzing and Ordinance Systems, Inc., which holds the necessary approvals for manufacturing these devices.

The contract is structured as a Firm Fixed Price, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) with a maximum quantity of 583 units over five ordering periods. The minimum quantity to be awarded simultaneously with the basic contract is 81 units. Deliveries shall commence 180 days after receipt of order. Packaging must comply with MIL STD-129, and all wood packaging materials must be ISPM-15 compliant. Each unit has an estimated maximum weight of 34 pounds and dimensions of approximately 14.5 x 17.5 x 17.5 inches.

Period of Performance
The period of performance spans five years, divided into five ordering periods:
- Year 1: From date of award through day 365 after contract award.
- Year 2: From day 366 to day 730 after contract award.
- Year 3: From day 731 to day 1,095 after contract award.
- Year 4: From day 1,096 to day 1,460 after contract award.
- Year 5: From day 1,461 to day 1,825 after contract award.

Deliveries will be made to Letterkenny Munitions Center located at Route 997, Voelz Gate Emergency, Chambersburg, PA, 17201-4150.
