Description

***SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS***

Please provide a quote and indicate the maximum time frame for which this price will remain valid.

Procure two GC instruments with the following specifications:

    • Flame Photometric Detector (FPD); one instrument with phosphorous optical filter, one instrument with sulfur optical filter
    • Chromatographic columns: one instrument DB-1701 phase and one instrument DB-210 phase column;
    • Air sampling pre-concentrator trap capability with flow rate through the trap of at least 500 mL/min
    • External mass flow controller, ability to capture the flow meter readings
    • Oven programmable from ambient to 400 C
    • Cycle time from injection to injection of 15 minutes or less
    • Visible and audible alarms for system faults and sample concentration detections
    • Quick change trap assembly, flow rate of 500 mL/min with ability to change the preconcentrator tube in approximately 1 minute
    • Onboard integration engine with graphical use interface. Ability to operate the instrument, calibrate, troubleshoot, analyze samples, etc. from the user interface. Visual readouts displayed of set points and measurements such as: sample flow, temperatures, pressures, concentrations, injection types, valve status, voltage, etc.
    • Data logging. Ability to capture instrument set points and measured values such as: flow, temperatures, pressures, calibration, concentration, injection type calibration, service, sample, etc. Data captured locally with the ability to retrieve and use for other reporting or calculating of sample data.
    • Automatic calibration feature. Calibration of the instrument using an averaged single point or multi-point calibration curve. Capable of calibrating and obtaining sample concentrations using the onboard integration engine, and values displayed on the graphical user interface.
    • Heated exhaust to prevent expulsion of water. Detector exhaust must expel water in gas/vapor form elimination water drip from the instrument detector.
    • Sample bypass capability. Ability for continuous sample flow at inlet in a bypass state. A minimum flow of 500 mL/min required for bypass capability.
    • GC approximate dimensions - 17 x 11 x 8.5 (width x height x depth)
    • Instrument weight approximately 25 pounds
Background
The contract is issued for the procurement of two Gas Chromatograph (GC) instruments as part of the Safety Air Monitoring and Analytical Referee System (SAMARS). The agency aims to enhance its capabilities in air quality monitoring and analysis, ensuring compliance with safety standards. The goal of this contract is to acquire advanced analytical equipment that meets specific technical requirements for effective operation.

Work Details
The solicitation specifies the following requirements for the GC instruments:
- Two Flame Photometric Detectors (FPD): one with a phosphorous optical filter and one with a sulfur optical filter.
- Chromatographic columns: one DB-1701 phase column and one DB-210 phase column.
- Air sampling pre-concentrator trap capability with a minimum flow rate of 500 mL/min.
- External mass flow controller that captures flow meter readings.
- Oven programmable from ambient to 400℃.
- Injection cycle time of 15 minutes or less.
- Visible and audible alarms for system faults and sample concentration detections.
- Quick change trap assembly with a flow rate of 500 mL/min, allowing for preconcentrator tube changes in approximately 1 minute.
- Onboard integration engine with a graphical user interface for operation, calibration, troubleshooting, and sample analysis. Displays set points and measurements such as sample flow, temperatures, pressures, concentrations, injection types, valve status, voltage, etc.
- Data logging capability to capture instrument set points and measured values including flow, temperatures, pressures, calibration data, and concentrations. Data must be retrievable for reporting or calculations.
- Automatic calibration feature using single point or multi-point calibration curves displayed on the graphical user interface.
- Heated exhaust system to expel water vapor without dripping from the detector.
- Sample bypass capability allowing continuous sample flow at an inlet with a minimum bypass flow of 500 mL/min.
- Approximate dimensions of the GC instruments: 17” x 11” x 8.5” (width x height x depth).
- Instrument weight approximately 25 pounds.
