The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Defense Sciences Office (DSO) is hosting a live virtual webinar to provide information and promote technical exchange regarding the Safe and Assured Foundation Robots for Open eNvironments (SAFRON) Advanced Research Concepts (ARC) Opportunity. This initiative aims to engage potential proposers in discussions about the objectives of the SAFRON ARC Opportunity, which is part of DARPA's efforts to foster innovative research concepts relevant to national security applications.

Work Details
The webinar will cover specific information related to the SAFRON ARC Opportunity, including an overview of DSO and the ARC initiative. Participants will have the opportunity to hear from government personnel and leading researchers in related fields, as well as ask questions.

The focus of the SAFRON ARC Opportunity is on exploring how to assure that foundation model-enabled robots behave as intended, addressing challenges such as safety and assurance in open-world environments. Proposals should articulate novel approaches to assurance relevant to current and future state-of-the-art foundation models employed in robotics.
