SAF/CN A&AS Support Sole-Source J&A

Background
The Chief Information Officer of the Air Force (SAF/CN) and the Air Force District of Washington Headquarters, Contracting Directorate, Secretary Support (AFDW/PKS) are issuing a sole-source bridge contract for immediate cybersecurity support, IT asset management, systems integration, and workforce development.

This action is necessitated by an unusual and compelling urgency due to a break in service caused by a protest of a replacement service vehicle contract. The services are essential for maintaining critical operations within the Department of the Air Force Chief Information Officer (DAF/CIO).

Work Details
The required services under this bridge contract include:
1. Immediate restart of cybersecurity support to ensure compliance with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) for DAF systems.
2. IT asset management to maintain visibility and compliance with software licensing agreements, preventing potential fines from audit failures.
3. Systems integration to facilitate the adoption of new technologies like cloud and AI, as directed by SECDEF and SECAF.
4. Workforce development to support ongoing training and capability enhancement within the Air Force's IT infrastructure.

Period of Performance
The contract will cover a base period of 4 months with an option to extend for up to an additional 6 months if necessary.

The services will be performed at VMD Systems Integrators, LLC located at 8405 Greensboro Dr Ste 500, Mclean, Virginia.
