Background
The US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Caribbean District, is hosting a joint Outreach Event for two upcoming design-build and design-bid-build Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) solicitations. This initiative aims to support construction requirements in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and the United States Virgin Islands (USVI), focusing on general construction and water and power infrastructure projects.

Work Details
The General Construction MATOC covers design-build and design-bid-build construction requirements for new facilities, real property repair, alterations, and maintenance. The scope includes new building construction, general building repairs, renovations, road and pavement repair, stormwater management, erosion control, environmental compliance work, excavation, plumbing, demolition, electrical work, structural work, mechanical work, concrete work, Power and Communication Systems installation, and environmental remedial work including hazardous waste abatement.

The Water & Power Infrastructure MATOC encompasses design-build and design-bid-build construction for the rehabilitation and modernization of water infrastructure projects. This includes power generation/distribution systems and critical utility infrastructure projects. Specific tasks include rehabilitation of hydroelectric power plants, dam repairs, intake structures construction, large-diameter water transmission pipeline installation, electrical substations setup, emergency generator installation, civil works such as excavation and dredging, road repairs, temporary cofferdam structures creation, auxiliary facility repairs, and environmental remediation.
