Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing this combined synopsis/solicitation number 36C25626Q0892 as a request for quotation (RFQ) for Mat Service in support of the Alexandria VA Medical Center (AVAMC).

This requirement is unrestricted, and it aims to provide mat services to ensure cleanliness and safety within the facility. The contract will be awarded based on the lowest priced technically acceptable methodology.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, tools, materials, uniforms, supervision, and other items necessary to perform mat service services as defined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS).

Key tasks include:
1. Exchange all floor mats and runners every two weeks to ensure cleanliness and proper rotation.
2. Ensure all mats are of high quality, free from stains, tears, or holes.
3. Launder and return each mat on the following service date after exchange.
4. Maintain a consistent supply of mats that meet specified safety standards including slip-resistance and durability.
5. Perform services during business hours between 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM on weekdays, with potential service on weekends and holidays as required.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract will begin on July 23, 2026, and end on July 22, 2031.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must demonstrate the ability to meet all technical requirements outlined in the PWS. They must also ensure that all personnel have relevant experience and training to perform their tasks successfully. Compliance with security policies for installation access is mandatory.
