Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking a contractor to provide regulated medical waste (RMW) and sharps removal services for the North Battlefield VA Outpatient Clinic. The goal of this contract is to ensure safe and compliant disposal of medical waste, thereby protecting staff, patients, and visitors while adhering to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items necessary for the storage, pickup, transportation, and disposal of regulated medical waste generated from the North Battlefield Outpatient Clinic. Key tasks include:

1. **Regulated Medical Waste Disposal**: Compliance with federal, state, and local laws; provision of disposal permits; and documentation of waste transport.

2. **Collection/Storage**: Supply of a semi tractor trailer for temporary storage; lockable bins for collection; provision of bags, tags, and waste carts meeting safety standards.

3. **Routine Pickup Schedule**: Weekly pickups or more frequently if required; containers must be exchanged within specified hours.

4. **Emergency Collections**: Provision for out-of-cycle emergency collection services as needed.

5. **Transport Requirements**: Vehicles must be leak-resistant and properly marked; no intermediate handlers allowed.
