Regulated Medical Waste Removal SDVOSB Set-Aside   3

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is issuing this solicitation for the Regulated Medical Waste Removal program at the Hampton VA Medical Center and associated Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs). The goal of this contract is to ensure safe and compliant disposal of regulated medical waste generated at these facilities, adhering to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and services necessary for the storage, pickup, transportation, and disposal of regulated medical waste (RMW) from the following locations:

- Hampton VA Medical Center
- Virginia Beach CBOC
- Chesapeake CBOC
- Albemarle Primary Outpatient Clinic (APOC)
- Portsmouth CBOC

Services include:
- Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations regarding medical waste disposal.
- Provision of a semi tractor trailer for collection and temporary storage of medical waste.
- Supply of lockable bins for transport and collection.
- Collection of Non-Hazardous 'Red Bag' Biohazard waste as well as cytotoxic waste.
- Weekly pickup service with emergency/contingency collections as needed.
- Provision of DOT approved medical waste trailers on-site.
- Maintenance of vehicles in sanitary condition with proper labeling.
- Documentation including disposal permits and transport manifests to be provided to the Contracting Officer (CO) and Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).

Period of Performance
One Base Year with Four Option Years: Base Year from April 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026; Option Year 1 from April 1, 2026 to March 31, 2027; Option Year 2 from April 1, 2027 to March 31, 2028; Option Year 3 from April 1, 2028 to March 31, 2029; Option Year 4 from April 1, 2029 to March 31, 2030.
