Background
The Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center (RLRVAMC) is part of the Indiana Health Care System and provides health care services to veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces.

This contract aims to secure snow and ice removal services for the RLRVAMC facilities located at 1481 W 10th Street and 2669 Cold Springs Road, Indianapolis, IN. The goal is to ensure safe access for patients, families, staff, and visitors during winter weather conditions.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, tools, equipment, vehicles, transportation, and chemicals necessary for snow and ice removal services. Specific tasks include:
1. Snow and ice removal from all designated sites including parking lots, drives, walkways, sidewalks, crosswalks, ramps, and other areas as specified in the Performance Work Statement (PWS).
2. Monitoring and servicing areas that may have refrozen or been affected by drifting snow by 6:00 AM local time of the next business day following a snow event.
3. Treatment and removal of snow and ice when accumulation reaches one-half inch or more.
4. Hauling snow accumulations above one inch to designated locations as instructed by the Contracting Officer Representative (COR).
5. Providing adequate staffing and equipment throughout a snow event to maintain priority areas clear while working on other responsibilities.
6. Attending a post-award orientation meeting to discuss fire safety, infection control, disaster procedures, and security protocols.

Period of Performance
The period of performance is from the date of award through March 31 each year for the duration of the contract with potential extensions based on performance evaluations.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at two locations: 1481 W 10th Street Indianapolis IN 46202 (West 10th Street facility) and 2669 Cold Springs Road Indianapolis IN 46201 (Cold Springs Road facility).
