Textile Processing Laundry Service   3

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing this solicitation for textile processing laundry services to support the Fayetteville Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) in North Carolina. The goal of this contract is to provide off-site laundry and linen services that ensure high-quality textile products while optimizing cost efficiency and minimizing logistical burdens on the agency.

This is a Firm Fixed Price unrestricted solicitation with a base period and four option years.

Work Details
The contractor shall furnish all resources necessary for bulk laundry services, including labor, equipment, supervision, management, supplies, and transportation. Services include:
1. Hybrid-rental of linen items processed alongside Customer Owned Goods (COG).
2. Laundering and finishing of bulk laundry items under strict quality standards established by industry guidelines (CDC, OSHA, ALM, IFI).
3. Estimated annual weight of laundered items is 500,000 pounds.
4. Re-cleaning of unsatisfactory items at no additional cost.
5. Physical separation of clean and soiled linens to avoid cross-contamination.
6. Daily pickups and deliveries from the Fayetteville VAMC loading dock between 6 AM - 8 AM.
7. Submission of daily and monthly reports detailing linen received and delivered, including weights and quantities.
8. Use of technology for tracking inventory control (e.g., RFID chips).

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract will be from December 10, 2025, to December 9, 2030, covering a base year with four optional renewal years.

Place of Performance
The primary place of performance will be the contractor's facility; however, laundry pickups and deliveries will occur at the Fayetteville VA Medical Center located at 2300 Ramsey Street, Fayetteville, North Carolina 28301.
