Linen and Laundry Services - SAVAHCS

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to provide comprehensive linen and laundry services for the Southern Arizona VA Healthcare System (SAVAHCS). The goal of this contract is to ensure that all linens used in patient care are maintained in a clean, sanitary, and serviceable condition, supporting the healthcare needs of veterans and staff.

Work Details
The contractor shall furnish all labor, personnel, supervision, tools, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to provide laundry and linen services. Key tasks include:
1. Providing an electronic or online program for ordering all linen needs.
2. Renting linens as required by SAVAHCS.
3. Delivering a quarterly titration report on processed linen.
4. Maintaining monthly logs to ensure cleanliness of transport trailers with VA-approved disinfectants.
5. Ensuring soiled linens do not share space with clean linens during transport.
6. Providing a 96-hour contingency supply of linen as per regulations.
7. Facilitating the cleaning of approximately 1,350,000 lbs of soiled linen annually.
8. Delivering clear itemized listings upon each delivery and addressing urgent delivery needs within four hours when notified by the COR or CO.

Period of Performance
The contract will have a base period of performance from January 1, 2027, to September 30, 2027, with four optional renewal periods each lasting 12 months.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must meet the following requirements: Small Business Set Aside - Total (SBA); possess relevant experience in providing laundry services; maintain necessary staffing credentials; comply with security clearances as required; and have key personnel qualified in textile care management.
