Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is issuing this solicitation for laundry services to support the VA Pacific Islands Health Care System (VAPIHCS).
The goal of the contract is to provide comprehensive laundry and linen services to ensure high-quality patient care and sanitation in accordance with established health care standards.

Work Details
The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, management, supplies, and transportation necessary to provide Contractor-Owned, Contractor-Operated Laundry Service. Services include:
1. Providing all linens and textiles for CLC/GEC services needs including bath towels, bath sheets, washcloths, fitted sheets, flat sheets, draw sheets, pillowcases, thermal blankets, underpads, patient gowns in various sizes, and impervious bags for soiled items.
2. Estimated monthly usage per patient includes specific quantities for each type of linen item.
3. Daily pick-up of soiled/contaminated linen and delivery of clean linen.
4. Services required 7 days a week throughout the year.
5. Compliance with Joint Commission (JC), OSHA, EPA standards and other applicable regulations.
6. Maintenance of sanitary conditions with separation between soiled and clean linens during processing.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over five ordering periods from October 5, 2026 to October 4, 2031.

Place of Performance
VA Pacific Islands Health Care System located at 459 Patterson Road, Honolulu, HI 96819.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have experience in providing hospital laundry services specifically in health care environments.
The contractor must possess a valid wastewater discharge permit and any required hazardous material storage permits. Additionally, the contractor must comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws.
